Cyprus Sales By Brand : 2013

A nice place for a vacation. It would help the economy too

The economy in Cyprus isn't doing well. Bank accounts with deposits exceeding €100,000 were raided. Various austerity measures have been implemented to meet bail out conditions. Frankly, raiding bank accounts was an immoral and appalling way of gaining funds. It punishes those who save, ie. responsible citizens. Funny how normally if anyone takes money from your account, it is theft but if a government does so, it's OK. Not in my opinion. Cyprus is still reeling under such measures.

Understandably, car sales in Cyprus took a hit in 2013, with a 36% drop in sales. Nissan took the top spot in 2008, and has held on to it since. Before that, no one brand had a clear ascendancy. On the chart below, pale blue shows brands that has sales reduce, but did gain market share. Green reveals the few brands that managed to increase.
