Norway Sales By Brand : 2013

Oslo
A sales increase for Norway of 3% was good by European standards, although car dealers would have surely liked more. Toyota and VW have switched the leading spot for some years now, but recently VW has established itself as the bigger selling brand. That said, Toyota shaved it's lead in 2013.

Toyota Auris Hybrid a hot seller in Norway
Toyota can thank the Auris model for a good year, Nissan gained well through the Leaf model, Mazda the CX5 and Mitsubishi the Outlander. In smaller markets with government incentive programmes for eco-cars, change can be quite dramatic. Tesla's S model made a late and spectacular entrance that can only be made in an 'electric car friendly place' like Norway.

In the chart below colours used for each brand show how they fared. Green for increase, blue for increase sales but losing market share, and yellow reduced sales.
